Do you need a telephone line for broadband?
It depends on where you live. ADSL broadband requires the use of phone lines. While fibre optic doesn’t technically use the phone line – it utilises its own type of cable – it does use a phone line to connect to your house from its service point. But, just because you need a phone line doesn’t mean you need a landline phone. So, it is worth checking if your provider offers deals where a landline is not included.
