In most cases your Hyperhub router will be hand-delivered and set up for you by our engineer during your install. If you don’t need an install, or you’re setting it up yourself, simply follow the instructions in the above video.
If you need further help setting up your router, please get in touch.
Inside your Hyperhub box, you should have:
– Hyperhub router
– Power adaptor
– Ethernet cable
– Welcome pack
To set up your Hyperhub
Depending on your Hyperoptic set-up, you’ll either have a wall socket or a fibre converter.
If you have a Hyperoptic wall socket, plug one end of the supplied ethernet cable into the WAN port on the Hyperhub router, and the other end into the socket on the wall.
If you have a fibre converter, plug the ethernet cable into the router’s WAN port and the fibre converter’s LAN or LAN1 port.
Then plug the power adapter into the Hyperhub router’s power port and mains and switch it on.
Finally, press the on/off button on the router. Once the WAN and internet lights are green, you’re ready to set up your Wi-Fi devices. Please be aware, this may take a few minutes.
To connect your Wi-Fi devices, simply use the SSID username and password details found on the back of the router. To change your username and password, head to How can I change my WiFi name (SSID) and password?.
If you’re using a phone service, you can connect the handset using an RJ11 phone cable into the Hyperhub router’s TEL port.
For the best possible connection, we always recommend connecting your devices directly to the Hyperhub router using an ethernet cable. Simply plug it into any of the router’s LAN ports.
That’s it! Now the Hyperhub router is set up and ready to go, you can enjoy your hyperfast, full fibre broadband.
Please remember that the Hyperhub router remains the property of Hyperoptic, so please take good care of it during your time with us.
