Our special Switch Now offer allows you to use Hyperoptic’s full fibre residential broadband service free of Package Charge¹ (for up to 9 months²), while the minimum commitment period for your current broadband contract comes to an end.
This means you’re not stuck using your current provider, even if you’re still in contract. Instead, you can experience the unbelievable power of Hyperoptic broadband (without paying any extra, subject to our Switch Now T&Cs), while both services run alongside each other. We think we know which you’ll prefer.
Plus, you’ll have sorted your new broadband connection in advance, ready to switch fully to Hyperoptic when your other contract ends (just don’t forget to cancel with them when the time comes). Happy days!
How does it work?
Once you’ve ordered your new Hyperoptic service with our Switch Now offer, you’ll simply need to send us proof of your current broadband contract (see a) and b) below) within 30 days of your service being activated (if you haven’t already sent this to us during your order). Depending on when the minimum commitment period for your current contract ends, we’ll then give you up to 9 months² of Hyperoptic service free of Package Charge¹ to cover it.
To work out how much time you have left on your current contract, just count how many months there are between now and your contract end date⁴. For instance, if it’s 3rd September 2022 now, and your contract ends⁴ on 22nd January 2023, select 4 – 5 months. We’ll give you 5 Package Charge¹-free months.
Please email us at switch.now@hyperoptic.com with a screenshot or image of documentation/correspondence from your current provider attached (e.g. from a customer portal or broadband contract summary) which clearly shows:
a) that at the time you placed your Hyperoptic order, you were receiving a broadband service at the Property from your current provider; and
b) the remaining minimum commitment period for your current provider’s broadband service at the property (or the fact that no commitment period applies to it).
Finally, don’t forget to cancel your contract with your existing provider when it comes to an end (or sooner, if you prefer). They will most likely get in touch with you beforehand to remind you of your contract end and renewal options. Since you’ll be sorted with Hyperoptic, you can go ahead and let them know you’ll be leaving. Sweet freedom!
What if I don’t send proof within 30 days?
If you’re unable to share the above-mentioned proof within 30 days of your Hyperoptic service being activated, we’ll still give you your first month of service free of Package Charge¹. After that, you’ll move onto our promo pricing³ for the remainder of your minimum commitment period, so you can continue using your new Hyperoptic service.
What happens when my free period ends?
Once your free period ends, you’ll simply move onto our promo pricing³ for the remainder of your minimum commitment period with Hyperoptic.
For more information, as well as full details of our pricing and terms for this Switch Now offer, please read our Switch Now T&Cs.
If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to email us at switch.now@hyperoptic.com. We’re available 24/7.
¹ ”Package Charge” means the monthly charge normally payable for any of our broadband-only, broadband plus phone or Hyperoptic’s Total Wi-Fi packages. ² depending on how long is left of your minimum commitment period with your current broadband provider.
³ This is set out in the second table at Clause 6 of our Switch Now T&Cs.
