Hyperoptic won big at the 2023 Internet Service Providers' Association (ISPA) Awards, being named Best Consumer ISP, recognition for its commitment to delivering exceptional customer experience and setting new standards in broadband.
Hyperoptic's Founder and CEO, Dana Tobak CBE, received a special recognition award for her outstanding contributions to the broadband industry. The award comes as a part of the ISPA Awards' 25th-anniversary celebrations, highlighting Dana’s pivotal role in shaping the future of broadband connectivity in the UK.
The ISPA Awards is known for acknowledging excellence in the Internet industry. The Best Consumer ISP (with more than 250,000 customers) award reflects Hyperoptic's commitment to customer experience through fairness, simplicity, reliability and service.
Dana Tobak, Hyperoptic Founder & CEO, said: "These awards are testament to our team's relentless commitment to always setting new standards in broadband, and delivering world-class customer experience. I am immensely proud of what we continue to achieve."
ISPA said: “In a closely run category, Hyperoptic’s pioneering roll out of gigabit broadband, social tariffs and support for vulnerable customers made them worthy winners.”
On Dana Tobak winning the 25th Anniversary Award, ISPA added: “Since the mid 2000s, Dana Tobak has been a driving force in disrupting and accelerating the UK broadband market. From pioneering use of LLU at Be Broadband to its sale and integration as O2 broadband to launching and leading one of the first altnets, Hyperoptic, in 2011, Dana has set new standards, pushed the competition and improved the UK’s broadband for more than two decades.”
Hyperoptic's success at the ISPA Awards reinforces its position as the leading full fibre broadband provider. Last month, Hyperoptic reached the milestone of connecting more than 300,000 customers across the UK to gigabit-capable full fibre, following the relaunch of its brand with a renewed focus on customer experience. Hyperoptic’s ‘In your corner’ campaign presents a welcome alternative to providers that offer poor customer service, lack of transparent pricing and unreliable network connectivity.
Hyperoptic’s network now passes more than 1.4 million homes across 64 towns and cities in the UK.
Hyperoptic is on a mission to reach 500,000 customers and two million homes passed, maintaining market-leading penetration and excellent customer experience as the company scales.
