Hyperoptic, the UK's leading alternative full fibre broadband provider, is proud to announce its recognition as Great Value Broadband Provider by Which? in its consumer champion findings of broadband providers.
This accolade, bestowed by one of the most trusted consumer voices in the UK, acknowledges Hyperoptic for providing brilliant broadband that is accessible for all. The consumer champion's findings are based on a survey of 4,471 people who had a contract for home broadband in December 2023 and January 2024.
Hyperoptic, who were the first broadband provider to bring gigabit speeds to UK homes, scored above the Big Four providers, who command 70 per cent of the market. Consumers criticised companies such as BT, Virgin Media, and TalkTalk for eye-watering mid-contract price rises and poor customer service. This is despite calls from Which? to abolish inflation-linked hikes this year and regulator Ofcom's conclusion that such practices can cause substantial harm to consumers.
Lutfu Kitapci, CCO and MD of ISP at Hyperoptic, said, "The endorsement from Which? demonstrates our commitment to be in the corner of our customers. We offer clear and transparent pricing without imposing mid-contract price hikes. Our gigabit speed broadband, coupled with 99.9% reliability, set a new standard for the broadband industry, making us the clear choice for consumers seeking unbeatable value."
The Great Value Broadband Provider recognition from Which? serves as a testament to Hyperoptic's passion for excellence and innovation in the broadband sector. Hyperoptic remains dedicated to empowering communities with hyperfast, ultra-reliable broadband solutions that enhance connectivity and enrich lives.
Natalie Hitchins, Which? Head of Home Products and Services, said: "Our latest broadband provider rankings show that consumers could be better off choosing a smaller company such as Hyperoptic, which prioritises customer service over a giant that also imposes unfair mid-contract price rises. Customers with contracts ending soon should explore their switching options, as our research found that consumers who did so saved almost £100 on average."
